Ear wax removal
Blocked ears cause hearing loss, and wax removal is used to clear the ears of occluding debris.
Microsuction involves using a binocular magnifying lens to look in the ear, and a low-pressure suction device with a fine, tubular vacuum tip to gently remove wax from the ear.
Irrigation can be used in instances where the wax is particularly soft or too near to the eardrum for suctioning. Water is channelled up the sides of the ear canal to create a vortex that washes away the wax, and the ears are then dried with sterile absorbent material afterwards.

Impressions
We take highly detailed and precise moulded impressions of the ears using a fast-setting silicone putty. The actual process of taking impressions should be gentle and swift, and the moulds will be inspected afterward to ensure they comply with manufacturer standards.
These moulds can then be used to create custom fitting hearing protection, unique to you. Whether you’d like a pair of In-Ear Monitors (IEM’s), waterproof swim plugs, or soft comfortable sleeping plugs, your audiologist will guide you as to the best solutions available.

Hearing protection
Protecting your ears is of paramount importance in an increasingly active, noisy, and busy world.
We are huge proponents of acting preventatively; after all, dealing with the consequences of ear damage is far more complicated than stopping an issue from ever arising in the first place.
We have partnered with a select few manufacturers to bring you the best in bespoke ear protection. This includes comfortable sleeping plugs for the most restful nights kip, waterproof plugs for embracing the elements, sound filtering plugs for working or socialising in loud environments, or fully fitted audio solutions to hear the finest details of music at a safe volume level.

Whether you are an existing hearing aid user in need of advice and repairs, or only just beginning on your hearing journey, we are here to help.
You can find out more information on our dedicated hearing aid page below - including some helpful FAQ’s.

Servicing & repairs
Alongside providing diagnostics and new hearing aids, we can also assess, repair, service, or fine-tune your existing set-up to ensure optimal performance.
If your current hearing aids are outside of their warranty period, then this usually carries an additional varying cost dependant on the manufacturer and which components require replacing. During your consultation our audiologist will test your devices and advise the best route possible.
Please bring along any key accessories including batteries, charging docks and cleaning tools.
