the inner audiological ear, showing balance and peace

Welcome

Totnes | Bristol

As a small family practice with a personal touch, we’re here to help with any of your hearing needs. Situated in the heart of the South Hams district, Southwest Hearing is Totnes’ community-minded and independent audiology service. You’ll easily find us at our clinic in the South Devon House building, just off the A385 near  Leatside GP Surgery. Whether it’s ear wax removal, diagnostics, hearing aids, custom ear protection, tinnitus, or vertigo - we have you covered.

Our core values centre around the optimal patient experience, and your friendly dedicated clinician Jonathan Doyle is a trusted expert in his field. Jonathan maintains registration with the Academy for Healthcare Science (AHCS) as a Clinical Physiologist specialising in Audiology, and the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Registered Hearing Aid Dispenser. He is a recognised clinician provider with Bupa health insurance, and also an active member of the Association of Independent Hearing Healthcare Professionals (AIHHP).

Whilst Devon is where we call home, we also run pop-up clinics in Bristol held out of Factory Studios. Our primary focus in Bristol is to work with music industry affiliated clientele, including applicants for the Musicians’ Hearing Health Scheme and the Music Venue Trust. Here we also provide wax removal, hearing tests, and bespoke ear-moulds - as approved suppliers for ACS, Cosmic Ears, and Ultimate Ears.

Your ears are unique, and our approach is tailored in kind. Whatever your journey may be, consider us here to support you every step of the way.

From a small group of activists in St Agnes, Cornwall, to a powerful nationwide movement - over the past 30 years, Surfers Against Sewage has become one of the UK’s leading marine conservation charities.

When bacteria and viruses are present in the water, the risk of infection rises, often leading to ear infections that cause pain and temporary hearing loss.

As passionate water enthusiasts, we’re committed to protecting our rivers and oceans by supporting the fight against pollution. You can learn more about this cause in our ‘Championing Water Quality and Ear Health’ blog.
